Why Lahore is Unique?

I don’t have the privilege to be a “Born Lahori". But after spending 7 years of my life in one of the unique cities of the world, Lahore, I validate the centuries old proverb “Lahore, Lahore aye” ( Lahore is unique). The ancient history, cultural depth, artistic vibrancy and above all the warmhearted Lahoris signify the fact that Lahore, indeed, is unique. The 1000 year profile of Lahore gives the image of a society of open-hearted, tolerant, simple, peace loving and nature friendly people that devotedly nurtured and spread the message of peace and tolerance while creating high caliber arts in the pre-partition India and post-partition Pakistan.
